Towards Noosa

We checked out with the owner, who had helped us briefly last night. We probably messed with the toaster, because suddenly the power went out. She was an hour and a half away, but after that, it was quickly fixed. She told us she had already done a major Australian tour, 15,000 km, a trip through about half (!) Australia.

Next stop: Noosa Bay, only a couple of hours’ drive.

First time seeing a four-lane highway with overpasses! It's called Motorway 1, part of the Pacific Highway that runs all the way along the east coast. More traffic too; you can't drive for fifteen minutes without seeing a soul. Both lanes are quietly filled.

Arthur is working on his thesis in the back, which is due sometime in October.

We stopped for lunch at the fitness trail in the forest of the town of Gympie, aptly named.

Arrived early in Noosa, first had an ice cream and some groceries. At Coles, Carmen's points card gave her extra stamps. Dutch people, eh? Cute bird there:

Beautiful apartment, very tidy, Arthur on the sofa bed. There's another seating area with sofas, where we see colorful parrots in the tree in the evenings. While Arthur is busy working on his thesis.
